There are several steps to join a pistol club and obtain a handgun licence. These include: undertaking a safety course, obtaining a probationary licence and then a full licence, a minimum number of attendances and participating in competions, a probationary time period and providing fingerprints and details to the Victoria police and of course an approved facility or safe to store your firearms. |
Safety is the most important aspect of all sports and discplines involving firearms. During shooting eye and ear protection must be worn at all times. All shooting activities are conducted under the supervision of experienced and qualified range officers. |
Qualified range officers and coaches will help you along the way and assit you in developing your skills and ensure that all competitions or practises are conducted safely. |
